Air Force Brigadier General Joseph A. Lanni, director, Air, Space and Information Operations, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, has been assigned as commander, Air Force Security Assistance Center, Air Force Materiel Command.
Air Force Major General David W. Eidsaune, commander, Air Armament Center and program executive officer, weapons, Air Force Materiel Command, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., has been assigned as director, Air, Space and Information Operations, Headquarters Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
General Dynamics C4 Systems has named Army Brigadier General Nolen Bivens (Ret.) as vice president of its Washington operations, responsible for strategy, customer relations and newbusiness development. A veteran of 32 years of service, Bivens’ most recent post was chief of staff, U.S. Southern Command, where he led the joint and interagency combatant command staff with duties that included managing a $1 billion security cooperation program among 31 participating nations. Prior to that, he served as assistant chief of staff, Coalition Forces Land Component Command within U.S. Central Command, where he was responsible for strategic and operational planning and execution of training, logistics and security for Army forces deploying in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Arrowhead Global Solutions, the government services division of CapRock Communications, has added David Myers to its senior management team as executive vice president and general manager. Myers’ appointment is part of a strategic initiative to accelerate Arrowhead’s evolution as a provider of value-added managed services and advanced telecom solutions specifically for the military, intelligence and civilian government communities.
ITT has appointed Army Lieutenant General David Melcher (Ret.), previously head of strategy, business development and international sales for ITT’s defense business, as president of ITT Defense Electronics & Services. Melcher, who was also elected a corporate vice president, succeeds Hank Driesse, who had served as acting president of ITT Defense since April of this year. Before joining ITT, Melcher had a 32-year career in the Army, where he held a variety of senior leadership roles, rising to the rank of threestar general. Most recently, Melcher was military deputy for budget, serving as the senior military financial manager for the Army in the Pentagon.
VT Services, a provider of defense logistics, communications and support services, has appointed Zach Parker as president of VT Griffin. Prior to VT Griffin, Parker worked for Northrop Grumman for 19 years, where he held several leadership roles, including executive director in the Mission Systems and Information Technology sector.
The Vitec Group’s RF Systems division has appointed Nathan Lader as the new vice president of military, aerospace and government programs, where he will oversee and conduct business development, sales and marketing. ♦
