Naval Special Warfare Group Four’s (NSWG4) Government Purchase Card Program has been named the Silver winner for the North American region in the 2011 Global Awards for Excellence in BPM & Workflow—the premier global competition for business process management. NSWG4’s winning system was built on BizFlow by HandySoft.
NSWG4’s program was developed in response to their need to improve efficiency, transparency and reliability of their processing system to ensure their ability to complete missions with fewer available assets. The solution weaves Lean Six Sigma and dynamic BPM into a system called Special Warfare Information Fast Tracker (SWIFT).
Within a six month timeframe, SWIFT was up and running, and NSWG4 had an automated workflow solution in place that reduced procurement lead time, improved accuracy, visibility, and all around satisfaction and improved performance of the Government Purchase Card Program process. Built upon BizFlow, HandySoft’s automated business process workflow software application, and guided by input and active participation from the SWIFT team and consultants RF Logistics, this solution provides visibility into the process, standardization, and forcing function for over 6,000 purchases and $5.2 million spent annually. ♦
