Navy Rear Admiral (lower half) Patrick H. Brady, who has been selected for promotion to rear admiral, will be assigned as commander, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command, San Diego, Calif.


 

Army Reserve Brigadier General Lawrence W. Brock III, who has been serving as commander, 359th Signal Brigade, Fort Gordon, Ga., has been assigned as deputy chief of staff, C-6, Coalition Forces Land Component Command/commander, 335th Theater Signal Command, Camp Arifjan, Kuwait.

 


 

TeleCommunication Systems has hired Army Colonel Allen Green (Ret.) as its new vice president strategic programs for government. Most recently he served at the Defense Information Systems Agency as project manager for the DoD Commercial Satellite Communications Special Interest Program. In this position, he provided life cycle acquisition management for all DoD SATCOM capabilities.

 


 

Philip Harlow has been named president and chief operating officer of XTAR, a provider of satellite services to the government and allied forces. He succeeds Denis J. Curtin, who is retiring. In his new position, Harlow will be responsible for the growth and strategic direction of XTAR’s global business, overseeing the management, marketing and technical aspects of the company. Before joining XTAR, he worked as chief technology officer for CapRock Communications.

 


 

Northrop Grumman has announced the appointment of Patricia McMahon as sector vice president and general manager of its Aerospace Systems sector’s Battle Management and Engagement Systems Division. Most recently, she served as vice president and deputy of the division.

 


 

Harris has named Daniel R. Pearson executive vice president and chief operating officer. Previously group president for the company’s Government Communications Systems business, he succeeds Robert. K. Henry. In his new position, Pearson is responsible for the primary day-to-day business operations and will oversee the company’s government, defense, IT service, health care and cyber businesses.

In addition, the company named Sheldon J. Fox as group president-Government Communications Systems.

 


 

Spacenet Integrated Government Solutions has hired Robert Turner as senior vice president of business development and strategic marketing, where he will oversee initiatives that will support the long term growth and strategic planning of the company. ♦
