Marine Corps Brigadier General George J. Allen has been nominated for appointment to the grade of major general. Allen is currently serving as the director, C4/ chief information officer of the Marine Corps.
Navy Rear Admiral (lower half) Michael A. Brown has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral. Brown is currently serving as assistant deputy director, Joint Interagency Cyber Task Force, Office of the Director of National Intelligence/deputy assistant secretary for cyber security and communications.
Army Brigadier General Leo A. Brooks Jr. (Ret.) has become vice president, national security and space, in Boeing’s federal government operations office. In that position, he will be the company’s senior corporate liaison with the Pentagon, NASA and the Department of Homeland Security.
Navy Rear Admiral (lower half) Janice M. Hamby has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral. Hamby is currently serving as director for Command Control Systems, J6, North American Aerospace Defense Command/director, architectures and integration, J6, U.S. Northern Command.
Navy Rear Admiral (lower half) Charles E. Smith has been nominated for appointment to the rank of rear admiral. Smith is currently serving as program executive officer, enterprise information systems.
Alion Science and Technology has named Air Force Lieutenant General Richard E. “Tex” Brown III (Ret.) senior vice president and deputy manager of its Defense Operations Integration Sector, which provides technical, operational and analytical support to the Department of Defense and other government agencies. At Alion, Brown will focus on supporting Air Force customers and will also draw on his experience in program management, modeling and simulation, and information management to offer solutions to organizations throughout DoD.
Air Force Reserve Colonel George F. Williams has been nominated to the grade of brigadier general while serving as mobilization assistant to the director, Defense Information Systems Agency, and commander, Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations.
L-3 Communications has named Curtis Brunson to the position of executive vice president responsible for corporate strategy and development. ♦
